Osprey Village is an educational and environmental experience during this year’s “Island Earth Days” event. This event will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Picnic Area at Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin, FL. “Island Earth Days” is sponsored by Friends of the Island Parks, a nonprofit citizen support organization. The mission of Osprey Village is to enhance the awareness of both children and adults of our local natural environment and how they can be a part of protecting these precious treasures. For those who have participated in past years the “village” was a separate area within the festival. Osprey Village consists of displays from state and local non-profit environmental agencies; environmental demonstrations and guided walks.
